Description
Treat yourself with our 100% organic cotton fabric jersey crew neck long sleeve tees. In natural color, undyed and unbleached.
These shirts are untreated and retain the natural color and feel of the cotton. It is grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides, and isn't treated with any chemicals in the textile process. The cotton is separated from debris and cottonseed through machines and then spun into thread. Unbleached cotton is naturally less hydrophilic, though the more washing you do, the more hydrophilic the fabric will become.
The skin is our largest organ and absorbs whatever it comes into contact with. There is a shocking amount of toxic substances are found in clothing today, such as formaldehyde, PFAS, AZO dyes, heavy metals, phthalates, PVC, lead, and the list goes on. These substances cause disease and damage to our skin and body, as well as our environment.
Organic cotton makes a great base layer of protection and breathability. Wearing organic cotton underneath your clothes is the best way to minimize toxin exposure from your outer layers, especially when exercising and working, which open up our pores to chemical exposure.
The cotton will gradually become softer over time with each wash. The shirts are loose-fit, have not been pre-shrunk, and will arrive a slightly larger size to make up for the shrinkage that will occur when washed. We recommend washing these without any other dyed clothing on a delicate cycle, and tumble dry low. The natural color of the cotton will slightly vary depending on the year of harvest.
