Care

CLEANING:
After you've finished cooking, follow these steps to ensure you've got a clean and dry skillet before putting it away.
1 – Allow your skillet to cool.
2 - Place it in the sink under hot running water. Add a small amount of gentle dish soap if you like.
3 – Scrub away food debris with a soft sponge or dish brush and rinse thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads.
4 – Dry your skillet immediately and completely.
5 – Place your skillet back on low heat for a few minutes to be sure its dry.

SEASONING:
Seasoning is a layer of polymerized (hardened) fat or oil that coats the surface of the iron to protect it and ensure non-stick cooking performance. Seasoning will come and go with regular use and is easily reapplied. We recommend using a cooking oil with a high smoke point, such as grapeseed or sunflower oil.

MAINTENANCE SEASONING:
– To be done regularly after you cook and clean.
– Preheat your skillet on the stove over low heat for 5-10 minutes.
– Wipe a thin coat of oil onto the cooking surface and heat for another 5-10 minutes, or until the oil looks dry.

FULL SEASONING:
– To be done periodically, or anytime you see bare iron or rust.
– Preheat the oven to 225 °F. Wash and dry your skillet completely. Place your skillet in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then carefully remove.
– With a cloth or paper towel, spread a thin coast of oil all over the skillet: inside, outside, handle, etc., then wipe off all excess. Place your skillet back in the oven, upside down. Increase the temperature to 475 °F for one hour. Turn off the oven and remove your skillet.
– Repeat these steps to add additional layers of seasoning. We recommend 2-3 layers of seasoning on bare iron.

Shipping Policy

Domestic: Shipping and returns are free for any US address. We use FedEx for all shipments in the contiguous US. We use USPS Priority Mail for all other US addresses (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc.). If you would like to use a different carrier, or for expedited shipping rates, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate.

International: In stock items ship within one week for international orders due to a limited carrier pickup schedule. We offer international shipping to most countries. International shipping rates are discounted based on Stargazer exclusive pricing. Just enter your address in the cart shipping calculator or select your country from the list during checkout and the cost will be calculated automatically. We use USPS Priority Mail International or FedEx International Connect Plus and you (the recipient) are responsible for any associated customs fees, duties and taxes. The shipping cost calculated at checkout is for the shipping service only. If shipping rates are not available for your country or you would like to use a different carrier, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate.

Warranty
Stargazer cookware is built to last many lifetimes and we stand behind it. If your cookware is defective or fails during proper use, we'll repair or replace it at no cost to you. There is no expiration on this warranty. Your cookware is covered as long as it is used according to our instructions and isn't modified in any way.

Warranty coverage is for manufacturer defects only and does not include damage due to improper use or user error, such as warping due to excessive heat. Seasoning loss and rust can be easily addressed at home and are not eligible for a warranty claim .

If you believe your cookware is defective and eligible for a warranty claim, please contact us and we will send you a return shipping label. Upon receiving your return shipment, if we find the cookware failed due to manufacturer defect, we will repair or replace the item at no charge.

This warranty applies to cookware products only and does not include apparel and accessories.

Return Policy:
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, we accept returns for a full refund within 45 days of the item delivery date. If the item was delivered in November or December, this return window is extended until the end of the following January to accommodate holiday gifts.

We can accept returns of cookware that is unused, or has been used according to the instructions provided in our use and care guides, and is not damaged in any way. This does not include Misfits, which are final sale. Apparel and accessories must be unused, unworn and in like new condition.

United States" Returns in the US are free. We will send you a prepaid shipping label to use for the shipment. We will issue a full refund, excluding any upgraded shipping costs, upon receiving your return.

International: After receiving return authorization, securely pack your order and ship to Stargazer with your preferred carrier. We recommend using a shipping service with tracking and insurance as we are not responsible for lost or damaged shipments. We will issue a full refund, excluding all shipping costs, upon receiving your return.
